Short One

First, I apparently suck at PHP.  Badly.  Which is odd because I can do java, java script, HTML and C++ all fine.  Anyone know how I can change the width of the main frame for my site?  I’ve want it wider and I cannot figure it out!

Second, does anyone know of good video editing software that is decent to use?  Needs to be for PC, and good for hobby use.

That is all.

Decompression

Music is a both a hobby and a huge outlet for me. I am a pessimist, and have both an anger problem and rolling waves of depression. (Great traits for a father of two, eh?) I always enjoy both playing music, and listening, and when I am in a a mood I will always default to hiding away and switching on something that suits it.  It’s usually pretty obvious from what I am listening to how my moods are too.  The faster and angier the music, the less I become.  The slower and moodier, then less I seem to be.  The faster and more repetative, the better I concentrate on a long attention focusing task.

A good sign of my current mood is always to check what’s in my ears and the volume it’s at.  The more I like it, the louder it will be, and the louder I need it, the deeper my mood.

Although I’m glad, depite my years of these moods, that I never ended up on anti-depressants.  When I could have used them most was high-school, and at that time was when Zoloft was the major brand of AD medication.  However, it’s known that disconinuing the medication had serious side effects, such as sever depression and suicidality.  Had I been on it, I would probably have ended up being a statistic.

I am also a forgetful and lazy mother fuck.  Haha!

Sweet Memories

In my last year of high school I decided to join the Student Council.  I was easily able to take the treasure position, one of the five main positions on the council, because no one else ran for it.  I spent most of the hear helping to run things when the President flaked out and left the rest of us stranded with a vice pres. we all hated.

However, the most fond memory of this, (and I use the term in sarcastically), was the actual announcement of the winners.  We all got to announce who we were over the PA system from the principals office.  That was all fine and dandy, not like I cared nor had any worry of sinking lower on the social ladder of life.  However, when I heard from several friends, and others, that most of the grad students actually groaned when they heard I was on council, it left an impression.  A deep one that, to this day, I will not forget.

There’s nothing like being one of the most beguiled students in a school to really make you remeber high school fondly.

Saddlebackers Win!

So my favourite deffinition has won!  Check out the website all the details!

Haven’t been able to post in a week due to a lovely CWS-like trojan virus.  Been blasting the system, in safe mode under the admin account, with AVG and AAW.  Haven’t got it all, but I’m close!  Going to try out malwarebytes tomorrow as well.

Finished my second D&D Session saturday night.  Was a bit disorganized still, but got to use my Mama Blink Bunny and her babbies.  Nothing like a non-denomination priest killing little baby bunnies by falling on them.  I may spec out the blink bunny for others to use aswell.

For those of you that are into the Gaming Industry and its inner workings, check out The Georgia Straight this week.  Big article on the family tree of game development in Vancouver.  Interesting read, and included a detailed PDF on their site that even included my company! ^_^  Interesting being in one of the oldest founding gaming comanies in Vancouver, yet being totally unknown.

Ended up not working today due to  stomach flu.  Watched the wife take the whole day off to play a video game.  The eldest is recovering from a cold, but still, everyone took the day off, which was odd, but I suppose necessary.  However, having her phone the upstairs with her cell to check on me was … unpleasant … to say the least.  And I still managed to do dishes and some laundry, which the wife just now decided to continue doing.
