After getting stuck, once again, in downtown thanks to the stupid Skytrain, I’ve realized it would be really easy to paralyze the Olympics. If three jumpers simultaneous hit Granville, Burrard and the downtown station for the Canada Line, it would effectively shut down the Expo/Millenium line, and would cripple the Canda line. This woulc ause huge commuter chaos, breaking the entire system and showing the fatalities of our stupid system.
Wouldn’t that just frost our lame asses? Not that seal-skin Olympic outfits are any better…

As for answers, I’ll have them, once again, behind the break.

Damnit, it’s been far too long since I’ve posted. Not that much has changed. I’m working, alot, and coming home to do more work, game, or work on side projects. Not much exciting going on.
Managed to get out to the local pool hall that reopened a few months ago. Figures, the night a few friends and I go, they have a leak in the room. Not huge, but was raining buckets of water in the middle of the room. Luckily, the rest of the pool area was safe. Was all good, even though I had to walk one friend home and help him for a while. Hey, at least it wasn’t me who was drunk!
I must remeber to fill in the answers for April. Until I got lazy on posting, I had quite a few this time. Don’t ask me why I do it, but I point it out because I doubt anyone but me cares. Cataloguing my own oddities…

No no, I haven’t forgotten, just been playing too much Left 4 Dead. If you want to play L4D or Zombie Panic with me, email me and I’ll give you my steam account name.
Saw a couple really good movies recently too…and some bad ones.
Yes Man sucks. Has some redeming qualities, but not till the last 20 minutes. Jim Carey is just not funny any more.
Slumdog Millionaire was absolutely amazing. Powerful story of never giving up no matter how bad things are. And apparently, in India, if you are poor, things are really bad. Money runs India, and everyone is corrupt. The wealth gap is huge, and rights are non-existant. It’s an eye opener, and heartwarming. Bring a girlfriend.
Milk was actually really good, although I doubt many people I know would sit through it. Yes, it’s about gay men, and yes tons of guys are kissing. If you can’t get past that and enjoy the film for the acting, the story, the lives these people led and waht they accomplished, then too fucking bad for you.

Ugh, been one hell of a week.
I finally got Left 4 Dead, so I’m playing that a bunch now.
Been reading FMA and so far it’s even better than the anime! Huge plot diversion from book 5 onwards, so lots of room to expand. I wonder were the second season of the anime will got.
Finally bought a Tremolo Bar for my guitar. Let’s hope I don’t damage the bridge before the Thunder Rally! ^_^

Managed to move offices today in under 6 hours. All told, an amazing success so far. We get the whole Nth floor of a building to ourselves, plus access to some wicket fast internet! (80 Mb/s down!) Too bad the bandwidth is monitored….
Very nice day, office is an A class building, lots of space, lots of room, lots of windows, plenty of nice food places, good view, etc. Very very happy, was a great day at work, even if we did little work.

Then I came home to problems with other kid’s parents, arguments with the wife, and a filthy house. Instant rocket from extremely happy to totally pissed. I love coming home to nothing but bullshit constantly.
I essentially have two jobs, and one of them I can’t quit.

It’s amazing how easily conversations with the right people can go awry. From a conversation discussing War Dialing, War Driving and War Games, we got to predicting the future of tech-wars. This somehow combined War Driving with the Internet Tubes to create: War Tubing.
The rest is an actual quote:
Co-worker #1: War tubing?!?
Aleph: Stay out of my tubes!
Co-worker #2: That’s what she said.
The worst part is, CW#2 said it without missing a beat! Such a cruel place for a TWSS joke!

Managed to get out to a cafe last night and see both Distraction and Outspoken Worsmiths. Wasa great show once the strange newbie poets finished. Amazing beatboxing from the OW and Distraction was as awesome as always.
Unfortuantely, had to leave due to a family emergency just as distraction started. So a crappy end to a good night.

My first contribution to the GF Grid mural is up:

Got the otaku list updated. Added a couple of things I tried, and finished the first 9 volumtes of the Trinity Blood manga. Really damn good. Not as good as Hellsing, but a somewhat less brutal and more love-story driven plot.

Playing tech support for the in-laws can be so much fun. NOT. Nothing like marrying into a family of red necks and hllbillies and being the ONLY computer savvy relative. Spent the last two days fixing three machines for the same relatives. Today’s was extra fun because a harddrive decided to die, but the relatives NEEDED the data off of it, and they have no backups.
I’ve also found that a cut on one’s pinky becomes extremely irridating when trying to type as well. I always manage to damage a hand when opening a computer, so much so that I rarely notice unless it’s bleeding. If it’s bleeding it’s even worse cause then I have to stop that first, and cover it, before continuing.
